Presidential Administration rejects proposal for dialogue with unrecognized union of Poles
The
Belarusian authorities have rejected a proposal for dialogue by the
Warsaw-backed unrecognized Union of Poles in Belarus (UPB).
The
proposal was contained in an appeal to Alyaksandr Lukashenka that was adopted
at a convention held in Hrodna on March 15. The convention resulted in the
reelection of Anzelika Borys, 35, to another four-year term as leader of the
UPB.
In its reply, which arrived on April 13, the Presidential Administration
insists that the Union of Poles in
