Project of changes in Election Code has not reached deputies yet
It was announced that the National Centre of legislation and legal research was preparing a project of changes in the country’s Election Code last week. It was planned that the changes would soon be discussed by the House of Representatives. However, the project has not been added on the agenda of Belarusian parliamentarians, informs the House of Representatives in an interview with ERB.
The Secretariat of the House of Representatives: “You know, they have not been added (on the agenda - ERB), the House has not received them and there are no such changes. I cannot answer when they will be added”.
Changes to the local legislation are dictated by recommendations of the OSCE work group and are one of the obligatory terms pronounced by Brussels to the official Minsk. Europeans insist on simplification and democratization of the procedure of poll watching and early elections.
