“Belaruskali” to receive $300 million from Azerbaijan
The Belarusian government will have to guarantee that the credit will be paid off.
The credit will be allocated to carry out investment projects and the programme of social and economic development of the country in 2011-2015.
According to TUT.BY, the situation at “Belaruskali” has been recently affected by an accident in one of its mines. A governmental commission has been created in connection with it.
The Azerbaijani credit may also help Belarus survive the serious foreign currency deficit. By the way, Alyaksandr Lukashenka asked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for help last year. He managed to get 200 million dollars and to pay for Russian gas back then.
