Cheap meat “for officials” sold at Brest City Executive Committee’s canteen
Pork and beef are twice or thrice cheaper than in the market.
For instance, a kilo of liver costs 30-35 thousand in Minsk markets and less than 11 thousands in the City Executive Committee. Pork ears, tails and legs are also sold at the canteen. You can easily find the products in Brest shops but they will be twice more expensive.
However, you can only do shopping there if you are an official. Policemen guard the entrance to the institution. There is a notice saying that you can only enter the building if you have a certificate of employment or a passport if you made an appointment in advance.
