There have been already about 10 thousand people in the Sakharov Square half an hour before the action, ВВС informs.
The people are actively approaching the place of the demonstration which has been sanctioned by the authorities. Besides, only one upway escalator works at the nearest metro station - "Komsomolskaya". The activists are handing out white ribbons, balloons, whistles and application forms for those who want to be the observers at the presidential election on March 4.
The aim of the action is to demand that the authorities should abolish the results of the parliamentary election. Similar demonstrations are held in dozens of Russian cities. Several people have already been detained in the Pioneer Square in St. Petersburg.
