Free Theatre gets a prestigious American theatrical award

The company's members had already left New York, so the award was collected by the heads of the theatres "LaMama" and "Public Theatre".  Producer of "Under the Radar" festival Mark Russell read the thank-you speech in the name of the "Free Theatre" administration. All the members of the company which came through difficulties on their way as an intependent theatrical collective, were enlisted in the speech. From now on, the bills of the "Free Theatre" will bear the sign "OBIE-2011 holders" during their tour around the United States, Charter'97 informs.
