IIHF to consider World Cup transferring from Minsk
This issue has been put on the agenda of the IIHF meeting in May, which will take place in Helsinki.
Sonia Nandik, assistant of Polish MEP Marek Migalski, has informed this to Euroradio.
Let us remind you, the World Cup is supposed to take place in May 2014 in Minsk. The idea to move the venue away from Minsk appeared after the brutal dispersion of the peaceful demonstration on December 19, 2010. Many civil and political activists from all over the world supported this idea. The U.S. Congress and the European Parliament also stand for moving the World Cup away from Minsk.
