Mistakes found in film about terrorist act! (video with mistakes)
There is no shop at the shown address, the terrorist in the metro changed his sneakers and Kanavalau’s relatives could not give evidence about suicide attempts
in court…
Euroradio has found discrepancies even in the film shot by the Belarusian television and shown on the anniversary of the terrorist act.
A man with a bag arriving in Minsk is shown at the beginning of the film. You can see a guy in black wearing black boots. However, then you can see the same person going down the steps in… white sneakers.
An off-camera voice describes Kanavalau and Kavalyou’s previous crimes in Vitsebsk: “Two kiosks were on fire, says the off-camera voice. – One of them burnt down”.
Two kiosks were really mentioned in the case papers. However, only one of them caught fire and it did not burn down – only the roof was damaged. The wooden kiosk became unusable and was replaced. The other kiosks did not catch fire and Kanavalau was acquitted.
Deputy head of the Attorney General’s Office Maksim Varonin says that “Kavalyou is an electrician, a specialist in this field. It was necessary to turn the system on. When Kavalyou gave evidence, he described many details and refinements of the electric circuit system. A person who was simply watching could not have said it”.
But then we can see episodes of Kavalyou’s interrogation used to prove the statement. Kavalyou says: “He (Kanavalau) pulled it out, put out the transmitter and said that it was needed to trigger the bomb. He pressed a few times, I also took it… in my hands… And that was it, I gave it back to him…”. It seems that it is difficult to notice the knowledge of all the details of the electric circuit judging by these words.
According to the film, Kanalavau talked about suicide a lot. The off-camera voice: “10 witnesses including his mother, father and brother described three suicide attempts in detail in court”. However, all the three refused to give evidence in court. They did not say a word except for the refusal! Euroradio has this audio recording:
"They ran out of alcohol the day after the terrorist act and Kanavalau left the flat for the first time, - says the off-camera voice. – He went shopping”. The address “Zaslauskaya Street, 12” is shown in the film at this moment. Euroradio has found out that there is no shop at this address. Moreover, it is 1.5 km away from Kanavalau’s flat.
The supermarket “Jubelee-92” is in Zaslauskaya 23/1. If Kanavalau went there, he had to pass several shops – near “Frunze” metro station, in Kalvaryiskaya Street and “Rublyovski” in Ramanauskaya Slabada. It seems strange that Kanavalau walked so much…
However, Euroradio has recalled that Kanavalau used to rent a flat in Zaslauskaya Street in 2007. Probably, he went to the shop he knew about. However, the shop is not in Zaslauskaya Street, 12 anyway.
There were discrepancies’ in court and during the investigation too and the issue remains open.
