Puppet theatre opens new season
The performance "Magic Gifts" will be shown today, on September 16.
Director Alyaksei Lyalyauski and artist Ala Haniyodskaya worked on the performance. The play "Magic Gifts", written by Vital Volski after a folktale, has become the first authentic work for the Belarusian puppet theatre and is worth to be considered a classic work of the national playwriting.
It was first performed on stage in 1939 under the name "An Oldman and a Millstone", and since then the performance has never disappeared from the repertoire of the Belarusian state puppet theatre for long, BELTA reports.
