Rockerjocker concert in Poznan cancelled
Members of the influential party "Prawo i Sprawiedliwość" stood against the band's appearance at Belarus culture days.
The local authorities decided to stop financing the festival under their influence. It happened after the Poles had found out about the Rockerjoker song "Sanya Stays with Us" which, according to their information, "became an anthem of Alyaksandr Lukashenka's presidential campaign".
On October 10 the musicians officially announced that they did not cooperate with the Belarusian authorities and that their song was used in the presidential campaign without their consent. However, this did not help.
Organizers of the Belarus culture days have not commented on the decision of the Poznan authorities so far. They only admit that it is too late to include amendments in the concert so it should be cancelled.
