Sasha Varlamau: Officials want to put me down on me knees
A famous fashion designer commented upon the criminal case started against him on air to Euroradio.
Sasha Varlamau, who heads the Center of Youth Fashion at the premises of the Belarusian State University, is suspected in abuse of power. According to Minsk city administration of internal affairs of Minsk city executive committee, the fashion designer stole 300 million roubles which was supposed to cover transport expenses of participants of the fashion festival "Fashion Mill". Why has this information appeared only now? Sasha Varlamau has said the following on air to Euroradio:
“I am the most noticeable and serious figure, my designers and my students are the best, they are the most beautiful and talented. Some officials want to put me down on my knees. Every official wants someone to kneel down before him, he feels he is at his place then. What did I steal? This is horrible, it's a real smut to say so!”.
