Tapestry with Bykau wins at triennial in Moscow (photo)

The first Russian triennial of modern tapestries "A Square Meter - Your Own Space" finished in the state museum "Tsaritsyno" in Moscow on November 7.

The tapestry "Apostle" won the "Poetry of an Image" nomination. The author dedicated this work to the "Apostle of the Belarusian Nation" - writer Vasil Bykau. Apart from this tapestry, the artist sent two more works to the exhibition - "New Land" (also dedicated to Bykau) and "The Sword of Svyatohorka" in honour of Emilia Plyatter.

According to the information provided by "People's news of Vitsebsk", the jury estimated about 350 works of 250 authors from different regions of Russia, and also works of artists from Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan and the Baltic States. More than 7 thousand people visited the exhibition for a month and a half.
