Restoration of Babruisk Fortress delayed due to lack of funding
The restoration of the Babruisk Fortress has been delayed due to the lack of funding.
In 2010, Belarus will celebrate 200th anniversary of the fortress, but the restoration works have actually not started because there is no money, said Vadzim Scherba, the head of culture department at Babruisk City Hall.
The bridge over River Berezena alone is valued Br300 million. The whole reconstruction project costs nearly Br3 billion.
