Russia beat Belarus 4-3 Wednesday in a
back-and-forth quarterfinal at the ice hockey world championship.
The
defending champion trailed twice in the second period but forward Ilya
Kovalchuk scored the winner in the third for his team-leading 12th point of the
tournament.
