Sales of vodka and beer increase in Belarus
According to Belstat, sales of beer and vodka keep increasing in Belarus. The percentage of alcohol sold in retail in January-September is 12%. 3 trillion 580 billion 700 million rubles has been made on alcoholic beverages and beer in the consumer market. Sales of vodka have not increased this year. However, the amount of beer sold in the first nine months of the year was 5.3% more than in January-September 2008. The consumption of soft drinks has increased by the same amount. Alcoholic beverages have proved to be most popular: their sales have increased by 14.6% in comparison with the previous year, reports “BelaPAN”.
