Several government ministers may be sacked soon
The
Web site My reports that the Presidential Administration considers a reshuffle
of the Council of Ministers. In
particular, Economy Minister Mikalay Zaychanka reportedly submitted
resignation. His earlier resignation requests were rejected by Belarusian
President Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Zaychanka has reached the retirement age.
Trade
Minister Valyantsin Chakanau, 52, also may be dismissed. He was appointed to
the post in January 2009. Prime Minister Syarhey Sidorski is reportedly
dissatisfied with his performance.
