“Slavonic Bazaar” participant loses her voice singing for country people

Hanna Blahava, the singer who is going to represent Belarus at “Slavonic Bazaar-2007” is going though a course of treatment to bring her voice back. The European Radio for Belarus found out that the singer noted she did not like the way her voice sounded on the eve of the festival and she was feeling uncomfortable while singing. She decided to turn to specialists for help.

They did not discover any pathology but asked her to refrain from singing, talking and other ways of straining her voice including listening to music. Moreover, Hanna has been forbidden to eat spicy, roasted and cold food.

Blahava: I think I might become a vegetarian before “Slavonic Bazaar” starts. I love spicy and salty meat. And I like cold food and many other things I have to forget about now.

The contest participant thinks that tiredness is the reason for her problems with the voice. Last summer the singer was working with the theatre of Iryna Darafeeva and participated in the actions “Masters of art for country people”:

Blahava: We were traveling and giving 3 concerts a day 6 days a week. Probably that is why my vocal cords got tired.

The forced vacation of the singer will end about a week before “Slavonic Bazaar” starts. She is going to sing Taisiaya Pavalai’s song “Chekai” adn a song-surprise she does not want to talk about now.
