Speaker of House of Representatives: It is too early to consider Abkhazia’s issue
Belarusian deputies have different opinions about the issue of recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia and it cannot be considered by the Parliament now. The statement has been made by the head of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Andreichanka. According to him, “the issue is very complicated” and “is not ready to be discussed now”. Nevertheless, the House of Representatives will include it on the agenda at any moment, reports “Interfax-West” quoting Andreichanka.
Let us remind you that the independence of the self-proclaimed republics has been recognized only by Russia and Nicaragua. The Belarusian administration is delaying the consideration of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in all possible ways because it contradicts to the country’s attempts of establishing relations with the EU.
