She is reading her evidence in tears: ‘When I came home and saw the girl’s body I felt bad”.
Pavel Tsynyauski and his mother Halina are accused of killing 18-year-old Yuliya Salamatsina. Halina has agreed to give evidence during the trial. She is reading out the evidence in tears.
"When I came home and saw the girl’s corpse I felt bad. I started crying and wanted to call the police. I do not know why I did not do it,” Halina Tsynyauskaya said.
The trial started in Frunzenski District Court of Minsk on January 22. Yuliya Salamatsina, 18, was born in Smalyavichy and worked in Minsk. The girl wanted to enter university. She got acquainted with a 26-year-old Minsker in social networks and decided to meet him on July 18, 2014. She did not return home after that. The Minsker strangled the girl with a belt after a quarrel. He and his mother hid the body in a city forest. Evidence of the crime was found in the suspect’s flat.
