Two policemen suspected of bank fraud
Two officers from the morality and human trafficking prevention force at Minsk's Zavodski District Police Department face prosecution for fraud.
Lt. Col Andrei Padabed was the head of the department and Huryanau – his subordinate. Investigators opened criminal proceedings aginst the two men over the theft of money from IdeaBank, Yezhednevnik reports.
The criminal case was started against a 27-year-old woman and 28-year-old man at first. The two Minskers were suspected of misappropriating 20 million roubles that belonged to IdeaBank. However, investigators found out that the two police semi-colonels were their accomplices. One of them has already been detained.
