Ukraine stops presidency in CIS and considers leaving the organization
Ukraine will not preside in the Commonwealth of Independent States that used to be members of the USSR this year.
Director of the information policy department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yevgeni Perabiynis announced it at a briefing in Kiev, censor.net.ua reports.
Furthermore, Ukraine is considering the suitability of its further membership in the Commonwealth of Independent States, the MFA added.
Batkivshchyna member Boris Tarasyuk has registered a bill on termination of the Agreement on CIS Creation in the Verkhovna Rada today, UNIAN reports.
