Ukrainian soldiers are trying to leave the pocket. Artillery is supporting them by shooting at the enemy’s gun posts.
Ukrainian troops are trying to leave the pocket surrounded by militants in Debaltsevo, Donetsk Oblast. The first photos of the Ukrainian soldiers who have managed to reach the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Army have appeared.
Some soldiers are leaving on foot; others have managed to leave in their trucks and APCs. There are a lot of wounded people. Ambulances are delivering them to Artyomovsk hospitals, hromadske.tv reports.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered in Debaltsevo and in the neighbourhood, Russian mass media report. About 3 thousand soldiers are still in the pocket.
