Vendors protest market closure in Baranavichy

Vendors in Baranavichy, Brest region, have collected 1,200 signatures to an appeal against the planned closure of an outdoor market in the city center.

 


The market is to be closed to give way for construction of an office center. The vendors intend to take their grievances to Kanstanstin Sumar, chairman of the Brest regional Executive Committee.

 

On Saturday, police broke up a rally by vendors at the marketplace.
