17:29 Wives-for-rent advertized in Belgium
Women's trade unions in Belgium are angered by a new promotion campaign launched by the Rent-a-Wife web-site, which offers "wives" for rent with a home delivery service. A 35-sec. video displays a man who packs one of the wives into a box to prepare her for delivery, while an "unpacked" one arrives at the destination.
The Rent-a-wife site offers to let simultaneously 8 out of 9584 girls to do home work, it and quotes the thank-you messages from non-existent customers.
Berhard Wilmett, a co-founder of DVDPost, which produced the video, said the commercial was no thought up "to be not serious", but admitted that the video had a bad taste.
