18:36 Holocaust memorial sign recovered in Minsk

A missing memorial sign commemorating the Jews from the German town of Bremen, killed by the Nazis in the Minsk Ghetto, has been recovered. The sign was brought to the German embassy in Minsk by a man who asked not to be named. The bronze sign was stolen in March from one of the houses on Ramanauskaja Slabada in the capital .

Several weeks ago, the German ambassador announced that Germany would give a prize of 1000 euros to the person who would help recover this memorial sign. It is unclear if the anonymous man was awarded with the money prize.
