2014 IIHF World Championship to cost Minsk Br7 trillion
Minsk will have to spend about Br7 trillion to get ready for the World Ice Hockey Championship that will take place in 2014. “Interfax” informs about it referring to the chief architect of the city Victar Nikitsin. Preparation for the World Championship includes development of the transport infrastructure (in particular, construction of new road interchanges), a hotel complex and objects of public catering and services.
The chief architect of Minsk said that it was planned to allocate about Br3 trillion from the city budget and about Br1.2 trillion – from the republican budget for it. Private investors and credit resources should allocate about Br3 trillion.
