20:45 Entrepreneurs' meeting is allowed
Minsk City Executive Committee has allowed private entrepreneurs to organize a meeting on March 12. But the place was changed from Yakub Kolas Square to Banhalor Square.
The meeting is allowed to be held between 12 and 5 p.m. The declared number of participants is up to 1000 people. An activist of the entrepreneur’s movement Syarhey Balykіn said that the main purpose of the meeting was to draw citizens’ attention to problems of small-scale business.
The main reason for it is the presidential decree that came into power on January 1 and practically forbade private entrepreneurs to use hired labour.
According to Balykin, participants of the meeting are going to demand that the authorities should stick to the Constitution, namely to the article giving everyone equal opportunities in doing business.
