Alexander Lukashenka gives interview to major Russian newspapers
Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenka today gave an interview to major Russian newspapers, including Izvestia and Zavtra, as well as magazines Russian Federation Today and Union State.
The interview took place in a form of a conversation and lasted for 3.5 hours. Lukashenka talked about the situation in the Belarusian economy during the global crisis, about causes of delays in building a union state with Russia, about relations with the West and the Eastern Partnership.
The official news agency BELTA notes that Russian journalists also asked the head of the state "personal questions associated with his family and his life views".
