Yakabson fired from State Control Committee head post
President Lukashenka on August 18 signed an edict to dismiss Aliaksandr Yakabson as the head of Belarus' State Control Committee.
It is reported that Yakabson was relieved of his duties in connection with his transfer to another job.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee Leanid Anfimau was appointed Acting Chairman of the State Control Committee.
It should be recalled that Yakabson was at the head of the State Control Committee from December 2010. Prior to that he was Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee for 9 years.
