Ambassador Surikov: Belarusian wages to increase by 40% after EAEU signing
"Equal competition between Russian and Belarusian enterprises” will lead to an increase in wages," reckons the Russian envoy in Minsk.
“Belarusian wages will reach Russian wages in the end. It means that they will go up by 40%. It will affect pensions and other payments,” Alexander Surikov thinks.
The Belarusian, Russian and Kazakhstani leaders signed the EAEU agreement at the end of May. The changes caused by the signing will not affect average Belarusians, Belarusian experts think. The EAEU creation will be useful for the authorities in the first place as it will let avoid an acute economic crisis and devaluation.
