Attempt to shoot US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords committed in the USA
A member of the US Congress' House of Representatives of Arizona, a democrat Gabrielle Giffords got a serious gunshot wound during her public speech.
6 people were killed, including several employees of the Congresswoman. 13 people injured, informs BBC.
Giffords was shot in the head. She was delivered to the local university's hospital by a helicopter. The doctors conducted an urgent surgery. Her condition is evaluated as serious but not hopeless.
A 22-year-old youngster identified by the police as Jarred Lochner attempted to shoot a Congresswoman. It is also known that he sharply criticised the US President Barrack Obama in his blog, claiming that the latter "brainwashes people". The young shooter says his favourite books are "Mein Kampf" by Adolf Hitler and "Communist Manifest" by Marx and Engels. The police considered him adequate but not mentally healthy.
