Azarenka fined $1500 for breaking racket
Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka has been fined $1500 for breaking her racket in the match against Karin Knap, Pressball refers to Ben Rotenberg from The New York Times.
Azarenka and Knap played the Roland Gaross match on May 24. The Belarusian lost the first set, won the second set and withdrew due to a knee trauma in the third one — 3:6, 7:6, 0:4. Azarenka’s knee ached so much that she was almost crying.
