Belarus and Russia to sign agreement on NPP construction soon
Belarus and Russia will sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the construction of the Belarusian NPP soon.
According to the director of the department for nuclear energy Mikalai Hrusha, a project of the contract of the administration for NPP construction and a Russian company “Atambudexport” is being elaborated at the same time.
According to him, the next stage will be a general contract on the construction of the plant planned for the first half of 2010.
Hrusha has also informed that a report on the NPP’s influence on the environment is planned to be sent to the Ministry of Nature for a state ecological expertise at the beginning of the next year.
He added that the document was being elaborated with the help of the remarks presented by the neighboring countries and the public, informs “Interfax-West”.
