Belarus army to get modern missiles in two years - defense minister
The Belarusian armed forces will receive the modern missile equipment and more advanced missile systems in the course of 2016-2017 under the program to develop local missile systems ordered by the president of Belarus, Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Andrei Raukou said in an interview with Arsenal show on VoyenTV channel.
According to the minister, "currently, we can observe positve dynamics about plans to deploy a new rocket system Polonez (it can hit targets at the distance of 200 km).
Over the past five years, Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense have acquired the air defense missile system Tor-M2 and advanced Yak-130 planes as well as four S-300PS air defense systems in the framework of military cooperation with Russia.
