Belarus' Domracheva ends biathlon career
The four-time Olympic champion, legendary Belarusian athlete Darya Domracheva, 31 on Monday gathered a news conference in Minsk and announced her departure from professional biathlon. There was no way I could find the right balance between her biathlon career and the time needed to look after her daughter Ksenia, Darya said. She also made it clear that Aliaksandr Lukashenka was aware of her decision.
"I do hope that the president... will take my decision with understsanding," Darya Domracheva told reporters.
