Belarus to produce own gauze bandages
The idea of production of Belarusian gauze bandages is being considered now.
An enterprise “Belfarmacia” representing the network of state chemist’s shops has suggested the idea to producers of gauze, bandages and other bandaging materials, reports BelTA.
Baranavichy cotton plant has already reacted to the appeal and promised to make the necessary amount of bandages in 10 days.
At the moment bandages are being supplied from Estonia and China.
“Belfarmacia” has noted that the demand for gauze bandages increased in Minsk chemist’s shops the other day. They get sold out instantly, some people buy 150 or 200 bandages at a time. There was a case when somebody wanted to pay for one thousand bandages by check.
