Belarusian budget to lose $0.5 billion in 2015
The social expenses will not be cut, the government assured.
The Belarusian budget will lose about $0.5 billion due to the decrease in the oil prices and other factors, senior deputy Minister of Finance Maksim Yermalovich told Belarus-1 on the evening of March 22.
The Belarusian budget was supposed to get more than $1.5 billion and the oil price was expected to be $83 per barrel. However, the forecast is $50-55 per barrel now and the expected budget income will total only $1 billion.
The government expects to get additional income after the tariff and non-tariff barriers are lifted in the Eurasian Economic Union. The Belarusian GPD is expected to increase by 2% and the well-being of the people will improve by 7.3%.
The government is not planning to cut social expenses in the current economic situation but the expenses on supporting governmental organizations are going to be decreased by 5%, BelaPAN reports.
