Belarusian exchanges outdated Br 5-million banknote for real money
A gambling outlet cashier was from Russia and was not good at using the Belarusian banknotes.
A 33-year-old man armed with a knife robbed an 18-year-old girl in Hrodna. She had an outdated banknote in her purse – 5 million roubles. The criminal decided to make on it. He went to a gambling outlet and tried to get the banknote changed.
The cashier had just arrived in Belarus from Russia and was not good at using Belarusian banknotes, Evening Grodno reports. The shift supervisor noticed the banknote and called the police. They detained the criminal. The man is in the detention center now. He will be punished for a double crime.
The man has a previous conviction for drug dealing.
