Belarusian frontier guards expect new wave of illegal immigrants
Belarus will face an increasing wave of illegal immigrants trying to reach other states via our country soon. The head of the Belarusian State Border Committee Ihar Rachkouski has claimed it. According to him, the increase can already be observed in the Baltic part of the border. Rachkouski thinks that illegal migration will become the main problem in the 21st century.
The head of Minsk OSCE office Hans-Johann Schmidt has claimed that Belarus is cooperating with other states including EU member states very well which helps fight illegal migration. He thinks that Belarus will be able to cooperate with EU member states closer when it becomes a member of “Eastern Partnership”.
