Belarusian ruble devaluation reaches 13.6% in 2016
The Belarusian rouble devalued by 13.6% in the first 22 days of 2016. The dollar exchange rate was 18 569 roubles a dollar on December 31 2015 and is 21 095 now.
The euro exchange rate has gone up by 12.36% and the Russian rouble exchange rate – by 2.61%. The currency basket gave gone up by 8.71%.
The dollar went up by 11.7% three months before the presidential election in 2015 (from 15 391 to 17 202). The dollar has gone up by 3893 roubles (from 17 202 to 21 095) since the Election Day – the devaluation has totalled 22.6%.
