Belarusian women’s volleyball team to play against Belgium, Russia and Bulgaria at “Euro-2009”
The rivals of Belarus national women’s volleyball team at the preliminary stage of the European championship that will take place in Poland in September and October 2009 have become known. According to the sortition, Belarusian girls will play in team C together with Russia, Belgium and Bulgaria. Let us note that three best teams will make it to the next stage.
It is the fifth time Belarus national women’s volleyball team has made it to the European championship. Belarusians were in the European top-8 in 1993 and 1995. Then there was a 10-year decline and our national team returned to the elite last year.
