Belarusians have started eating twice less meat

Prices have increased, wages have decreased but the sums Belarusians usually spend on food have not changed. However, the turnover has dropped a lot. People have started buying twice less meat. The head of the trade department of “Palesse” shop Natallya Heneles has informed about it. Natallya Heneles: “Of course, the turnover has decreased. It is because the purchasing power has decreased. People used to buy 500-700 grams of sausages at a time and now they buy only 300. They also buy only certain portions of sausage. The realization of smoked meat has dropped. The same can be said about the realization of cheese”.
