Belarusians spent about $1bn for cars abroad
Belarusians spent about a billion dollars on new and used cars abroad in 2015, announced the Belarusian Automobile Association uniting car dealers and importers.
Belarusian car dealers’ sales went 6% up to 26 190 cars last year. However, it did not happen because people’s buying power had increased. Rather, cars were more affordable due to shrinking prices.
About 50 thousand new cars were registered in Belarus in 2015. Almost half of them were brought from Russia due to the unequal conditions in the maerkts of the two countries, BelaPAN reports.
