Biathlon: Domracheva wins 10k pursuit women in Antholz
Belarus' biathlon star Darya Domracheva records the second consecutive win at World Cup event in Antholz.
Darya Domracheva has been the best for a 2nd consecutive day and won easily in 10k pursuit women at Antholz today. Darya had 1 error in her first prone position and afterwards she has been just perfect. Her final time 30:58.5 had been 1:21.0 faster than the 2nd Daria Virolaynen!! The Russian Daria (Virolaynen) had scored the 2nd best isolated pursuit time and with 1 only error had managed the silver today.
3rd had finished Kaisa Makarainen with 75% only in shooting (5 errors in total) but with heroic speed in last lap had crossed the finish line ahead of Franziska Hildebrand of Germany who had 1 error but 15.9″ slower in the last lap than Makarainen!!
5th had finished Marie Dorin Habert with excellent performance ! She had started 19th but climbed 14 places despite her 2 errors. Top 6 had been completed by Susan Dunklee of USA who had 1 error and the 5th best performance today!
After today’s race Kaisa Makarainen still leads the general ranking with 660 points and Darya Domracheva follows with 620! Nove Mesto, Holmenkollen/Oslo, Kontiolahti and Khanty Mansyisk will follow and the fight for crystal globe will continue till the end!
