British embassy describes police raids as an attempt to suppress dissent
The British embassy is alarmed by the massive police raids at the offices and flats of the Tell the Truth! activists on May 18 and does not rule out that it is "an attempt to suppress the dissent". The British embassy also represents Spain who currently holds the EU presidency. The embassy said it was following closely the developments and did not rule our they were linked with the upcoming presidential elections in Belarus.
