CEC: No applications from nominating groups yet
The registration of nominating groups will start on July 13, the Central Election Committee reports.
No initiative groups have applied for the coming presidential election registration yet, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna told Belarus-1.
Lidziya Yarmoshyna: "We have not received any applications from initiative groups yet. However, candidates will be able to start their election campaign only on July 23. We are expecting their applications next week, after July 13 and 14.”
The presidential election will be held on October 11, 2015. Registered initiative groups will start collecting signatures for their contenders on July 23.
