Companies, entrepreneurs charged higher gas prices in Belarus
The Economy Ministry of Belarus has raised by 10 percent the gas prices for legal entities and entrepreneurs. Under the resolution, effective from January 1, 2009 the prices for the natural gas in the US dollar equivalent have been raised from $158.67 up to $174.18 for 1000 cubic meters before taxes.
The press office of the economy ministry said that "the need to revise the prices for the natural gas emerged in connection with the higher prices in the Russian Federation since January 1, 2009 as well the change of the general economic conditions".
