Consumer debt increases twice
The consumer debt has increased twice over the first few months of 2009. Speaking about credits given to physical entities, the number may be even higher.
The head of the department of retail services of Belagroprombank Alyaksandr Filipovich says that the consumer debt is increasing rather quickly:
Alyaksandr Fіlіpovіch: “The debt is increasing and it was 1 billion roubles in our bank on April 1, 2009”.
The consumer debt to physical entities did not exceed 500 million roubles in Belagroprombank at the beginning of the year. The combined sum of the consumer debt in all Belarusian banks is about 180 billion roubles.
