Cost of second-hand imported cars in Belarus down by 15 percent
The price of second-hand cars in Belarus in May-June has dropped by 10-15 percent, Belta news agency quotes Syarhei Mikhnevich, chairman of the Belarusian Automobile Association, as saying. Most of the cars imported by individuals were supposed to be sold to Russia. But, when news came in May that Russia would not allow them without duties, Belarus' used car market collapsed, he said.
Mikhnevich says it is very difficult to sell second-hand cars, because demand is much higher. In general, 60,000 used imported cars were sold.
