Customs Committee: If the decision on exit fee is taken, we'll follow it
Head of the Belarusian Customs Committee claims ready to pay $100 to leave Belarus. However, he travels inside the Customs Union more than to the EU.
"If the corresponding decision is taken, we will follow it," Deputy Head of the State Customs Committee Syarhei Barysyuk answers the question on the $100 fee to travel abroad.
The official tells he traveled to the Druskeniki water park with his kids in March:
"I didn't have official business trips to the EU member states. I bought toys for my kids in Druskeniki."
Deputy Head of the State Customs Committee has noted that there is no statistics with regard to the Belarusians traveling to the EU. Therefore, it is complicated to evaluate the income of the new exit fee introduction. Everyone who travels abroad buys something there. However, the details of who will be obliged to pay the $100 fee are still unknown.
